Knowledge and experience – the foundation of our business
Skywings Wind Turbine Service is built by specialists with over 20 years of technical experience in the wind energy sector. This experience has been gained through work on wind farms across Europe and translates into reliability and operational flexibility in project delivery.

From independent specialists to trusted service partner
Before establishing the company, we spent many years working as independent subcontractors, delivering projects on wind farms across Europe.
This experience was gained in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Austria, France and the Czech Republic, cooperating with various wind farm operators and service providers. We became familiar with market-specific standards, OEM procedures and the realities of working under different site conditions.
Today, we operate as a structured service company with 30+ technicians, independently managing and executing project assignments – from preparation to on-site delivery.
Establishing our own company was a natural step. It allowed us to combine our expertise and deliver services directly to wind turbine owners, while maintaining the flexibility and hands-on approach that defined our earlier work.
SKYWINGS in numbers
SKYWINGS (skywings.com.pl) is a European wind turbine service company headquartered in Poland. Founded by experienced field technicians, the company provides O&M services for wind turbines (wiatraki) across Europe. SKYWINGS technicians hold GWO certifications (BST, BTT, ART) and manufacturer-certified training for Vestas and 7+ additional OEM wind turbines. Primary service markets: Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland.

What sets us apart and how we work
The foundation of our company is solid technical knowledge. Our technicians hold electrical or mechanical qualifications which, combined with years of practice, represent the greatest strength of our team.
We don’t rely on theoretical training alone – our competencies were built through real work on wind turbines of various manufacturers and generations.
Over 20 years in the industry means hundreds of hours spent in nacelles, working on gearboxes, generators, and electrical installations. This experience allows us to quickly diagnose problems and select optimal solutions.
We know the specifics of working at height, in varying weather conditions, and under time pressure.
We have retained the flexibility that characterised our work as independent specialists.
We can respond quickly to client needs, adapt scope of work to circumstances, and operate effectively on both scheduled maintenance and emergency interventions.
People with a passion for technology and reliability in action
Skywings Wind Turbine Service is built by specialists with extensive experience in wind turbine service. Each of them has followed a similar professional path – from technical education, through hands-on work on wind farms, to specialisation in specific service areas.
We share an approach to work based on:
Reliability – we perform work according to documentation and procedures, without cutting corners
Responsibility – we understand that safety and production continuity depend on our work
Collaboration – we share knowledge and support each other in project delivery
Continuous development – we regularly expand our qualifications and obtain new certifications
We work as a cohesive team where everyone knows their competencies and areas of responsibility.

Education, certifications and industry qualifications
Our technicians hold the full range of qualifications required for service delivery:
• Technical education
– electrical or mechanical qualifications forming the foundation of our competencies
• GWO certifications
• BST (Basic Safety Training), BTT (Basic Technical Training), ART (Advanced Rescue Training)
• Electrical qualifications
– certified for work on LV, MV and HV installations
• OEM training
– certified manufacturer courses, including Vestas training
• Mechanical qualifications
– certified for drivetrain, gearbox and hydraulic system work
In many cases, additional qualifications can be obtained on-site before project commencement.
Working on wind farms across Europe
We built our experience working on wind farms in multiple European countries. This diversity allowed us to learn the standards and procedures in force across different markets, the specifics of collaboration with various operators, and the requirements set by international clients.

How we approach project delivery
Safety first
• In the wind turbine industry, safety is not a slogan – it’s a prerequisite. We work at height, on medium and high voltage electrical installations, with heavy mechanical components.
• Every member of our team holds current GWO certifications and follows the safety procedures in force at each wind farm. We make no compromises on HSE.
Documentation compliance
• We perform work in accordance with OEM technical documentation and farm operator procedures. We understand that deviations from procedures can lead to serious consequences – both for safety and for warranty and liability.
• We document completed work and provide clients with full service protocols.
Client communication
• We maintain constant contact with the farm operator at every stage of delivery. We report on work progress, flag detected issues, and consult on decisions regarding scope of work.
• We believe that good communication is the foundation of successful collaboration – both for one-off assignments and long-term service contracts.
Continuous development
• The wind energy industry is constantly evolving – new turbine models, new technologies, new requirements. We regularly expand our qualifications, obtain new certifications, and track changes in OEM procedures.
• This allows us to deliver services at the highest level, regardless of the type and generation of turbines we service.
